Senior Software Engineer

US Cloud is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to provide technical leadership to the development team in designing, building, and delivering high-quality software solutions. We’re looking for a team member who is up to date on new technologies, patterns, and practices in the software industry. In addition, you will guide and assist development team members in improving the product, team practices, and individual skills. 

Location: Remote, US
*This position is not eligible to be performed in New York, Colorado, Oregon, or California.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate leadership in software design and development activities.
• Work with Engineers, Architects, and teams in recommending new technologies to ensure innovation, quality, and productivity.
• Design, develop, and deliver applications based on Microsoft Stack (.Net Framework, .Net Core, SQL Server, Azure/PaaS, AI Search, AI) and modern presentation frameworks such as Vue/Angular/React.
• Implement secure web and cloud solutions.
• Design, develop, and optimize all things related to SQL development.
• Implement unit, integration, and E2E test automation.
• Automate software lifecycle CI/CD and code/security analysis DevOps pipelines.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to other developers.
• Work with the Scrum/Kanban team to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks to complete backlog commitments.
• Develop effective technical solutions to meet business requirements.
• Participate in all Scrum and/or Kanban events (standups, planning, story grooming, reviews, retrospectives).
• Research emerging technologies to accelerate development for our customers and products.

Basic Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience designing and developing software.
• Full stack developer, proficient with both front and back-end components (JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, ASP.Net, Web API).
• Familiarity and experience with web architecture and development concepts such as progressive web applications and usage of SPA frameworks (Vue, Angular, React).
• Extensive GIT source code management and branching strategies experience.
• Focused on developing products utilizing automation and DevOps practices.
• Extensive experience with Typescript and JavaScript.
• Understanding of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) practices.
• Understanding of OOP and well-known development principles.
• Extensive experience with Unit Testing and Mocking frameworks.
• Experience with ORM’s, Dependency Injection Frameworks.
• Excellent technical and business-oriented communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Must exhibit strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical lead and architecture experience.
• Familiarity with Cypress Front-end browser test framework.
• Experience with Azure and Azure PaaS services (App Services, Function Apps, Azure SQL, Storage, SignalR, Key Vault, etc.).
• AI and LLM experience.

Education/Training:

• Bachelor’s degree
