Job description

The Account Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth through direct client and partner engagement, managing the sales pipeline, and achieving sales targets. Key responsibilities include developing client relationships, delivering tailored presentations, negotiating contracts, and ensuring a seamless sales experience. This role requires a proactive communicator with a strategic approach to meeting and exceeding sales goals through effective client engagement and market insight.

Job requirements

Drive Direct & Channel Revenue Growth

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base and increase revenue.

  • Identify and recruit new channel partners to expand our distribution network. 

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets, aligning efforts with organizational goals.

  • Collaborate with channel partners to develop and execute joint marketing, sales and enablement strategies. 

  • Monitor and adjust account strategies to maintain a healthy sales pipeline and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Close Business and Achieve Sales Targets

  • Maintain a strong focus on achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals, working actively to close new business opportunities.

  • Provide clients with clear guidance and follow-up throughout the sales process to ensure a high conversion rate from leads to closed deals.

  • Resolve potential roadblocks quickly and efficiently, ensuring smooth closing processes and minimizing delays.

Articulate and Elevate Value Proposition

  • Communicate product and service value to clients by delivering engaging presentations that emphasize unique benefits and differentiators.

  • Equip clients with the information needed to make informed decisions, including market insights and success stories that highlight value.

  • Develop and share tailored communication strategies to enhance brand positioning and meet specific client needs.

Customer Communication and Relationship Building

  • Engage in regular, structured communication with clients to ensure alignment on goals, service expectations, and ongoing relationship development.

  • Build strong, enduring client relationships by providing proactive support and follow-up, fostering trust and long-term engagement.

  • Act as a primary contact for clients, ensuring they receive prompt responses and solutions to any inquiries or issues.

Market Awareness and Strategic Adaptability

  • Analyze industry trends, competitor movements, and customer needs to identify new opportunities and stay competitive.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of direct sales best practices, applying relevant insights to refine sales strategies.

  • Adapt client engagement strategies based on market feedback and evolving client expectations to drive continued growth and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in direct sales and/or channel sales.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

  • Excellent negotiation and organizational skills.

  • Self-motivated and target-driven.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in outsides sales

Education and Training

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
